The Erko Hotel, Erskinville

Known locally as The Erko, this much loved Erskineville pub has been part of the community since 1882. Young at heart and full of character, it is a go to for trivia nights, happy hours and catching up with mates.

The kitchen focuses on produce driven, Erko friendly cooking, with fresh, locally sourced ingredients and elevated pub classics made in house wherever possible. The drinks list is just as strong, featuring natural and specialty wines, plenty of brews on tap and well crafted cocktails, all best enjoyed in the beer garden.

Upstairs, The Erko offers 12 comfortable pub style rooms, ideal for work trips, gig nights at the Enmore or weekend stays in Sydney. Rooms include new beds, TV, wardrobe and desk, with access to shared bathrooms and a communal kitchen. Fresh linen, towels, toiletries, tea, coffee and biscuits are provided, with daily servicing.

Each room is named after one of the local neighbourhood dogs, adding a playful touch that reflects the Erko’s strong community roots. Guests also enjoy a complimentary coffee from Fleetwood Macchiato across the road.

Restaurant/Bar

Head Chef Ethan Robinson, hailing from Chiswick Woollahra, brings to the table his first-hand knowledge of working with the freshest produce available. We pride ourselves on Erko-friendly cooking: we’re produce-driven and make as much as we can in-house.

We’re casual, celebrating pub roots, but with a solid focus on sustainability, locally sourced ingredients and elevated familiar dishes.

Since we couldn’t keep Chef Ethan out of the garden, we’re growing some of our own herbs and veggies in two patches at the local Erko Road Community Garden (how’s that for homegrown?)
