Nestled in the Karuah Valley NSW one hour North of Newcastle, the Central Hotel is the perfect spot for travellers to spend the night. Offering affordable, boutique pub style accommodation with modern amenities. The Central Hotel is situated at the base of the Barrington Tops National Park is the genuinely historic town of Stroud.

Entertainment at the Central Hotel includes live music every Saturday, locals night on Thursdays and Friday meat raffles and a jumping castle every weekend from 12pm - 7pm! The bistro is open everyday and has nightly specials including burgers, schnitzel and rump steak plus so much more. The bar and vip lounge are also open 7 days a week.

Stroud and surrounding region is ideal for the adventurous types who love bushwalks, horse-riding, kayaking, fishing, swimming in waterholes provided by the Karuah River, driving or motorcycling along one of Australia's oldest Tourist Drives, wine, beer and gin tasting and star gazing.
